In true La Sallian spirit, Peter Lai and fellow old boys braved a #8 typhoon signal and partied into the night in Hong Kong this week and here is what Peter has to said about the dinner:

Dear Folks,

Many thanks to Peter Fung who organizes the dinner gathering last night; we had a great time despite the #8 typhoon signal and I was able to present the recognition awards to Mark and Alex for their contribution to the Reunion.  Lester cannot join us due to work commitment and I gave his award to Mark.  Francis Kan was constrained by bad weather and missed the dinner but I will present his award to him next Monday.

Best Regards,

Peter

2008 Mid-Autumn Festival PDF Print E-mail

We celebrated this year's Mid Autumn Festival on yesterday (Sept. 13th), once again, at the beautiful home of the Hon's. The weather held up nicely despite heavy rain for the previous day.

Peter Lai (our president) declared this gathering to be the New York Chapter's official celebration for the successful hosting of the 2008 LSCOBA Global Reunion and authorized the chapter to pick up the tab for the event. The food was good and liquor plentiful as 44 (unofficial count) of us, including a long distance traveler Jimmy Chang from Toronto, partied into the night until the moon finally made its appearance through a partly cloudy sky.

We would like to say THANK YOU again to our hosts for having us over to celebrate the festival. Thanks!
